Student Review:

This was my first android course and I feel it covers the basics and mid-advance, I will use the skills learned here to do some small apps and learn more about this language.

This is a great course. In spite of using some deprecated methods in the last chapters, it’s still relevant enough. And that’s even better, cause you will have to figure out a few things on your own. So it will teach you not only to follow along with the author but to search and google for solutions.

It would be a great course if it were updated. I learned a lot from the first chapters. I don’t think it’s a course for absolute beginners but if you have a background in programming it’s relatively easy to follow. Sure, some things could be explained more, but then it would probably be twice as long. I liked that it’s an easy transition to building real, useful apps and learning widely used concepts.

Taught me almost everything I needed to know to build a large-scale app from scratch. The last half of the course is a bit outdated, but after some searching on the internet for a new way to do things you find the answers. Also, there is a fair bit of repetition, but you can always skip the stuff you already know or do it yourself without watching the video.
